Internal Auditor

Friends of Burns Centre, a non-profit organization dedicated to fundraising and patient care, is looking for a meticulous Internal Auditor to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and transparency in our operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for auditing all financial transactions, procurement processes, inventory (including medicines, medical supplies, and other store items), and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of financial records, procurement, and inventory management (including medicines, medical equipment, and general supplies).
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, donor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess financial risks and recommend corrective measures.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with different departments to enhance financial accountability.
  • Assist in fraud detection and prevention measures.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA, ACCA, CIA certification preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in auditing, financial analysis, or internal controls.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and risk management.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and auditing software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
